Shelby Public School District supports and encourages the education of children with special needs starting at the age of three. An individual education plan (I.E.P.) designed to provide the least restrictive learning environment is developed for each special education student.

The Shelby Public School District has adopted the special education policies and procedures as specified by the Big Sky Special Needs Cooperative and is consistent with the requirements of the Administrative Rules of Montana, the Montana State Plan, and the IDEA.
