'Tis the season to celebrate! Shelby Elementary staff got together for some laughter, snacks, a gift exchange, and plenty of holiday cheer.

Shelby High School had 16 students participate in the North Central Honor Band and Choir. To earn a spot, students had to record and submit an audition tape. The selected students spent two days working with guest conductors, Kim Lorengo (Choir) and Sigurd Johnson (Band) and concluded the festival with a formal concert. Ms. Allisa Buck was extremely proud of this group and their musical abilities.

More pictures of the 2nd grade Escape Room Challenge!

Shelby Elementary 2nd graders had an Escape Room Challenge to get their turkeys off the farm so they wouldn't be Thanksgiving dinner! The kids had to build a boat to take the turkey across the lake, then solve clues to get him to the forest. They all enjoyed the educational challenge!

Congratulations to the students who were awarded the "Work Hard" PAWS certificates for November! We are proud of them!

Mrs. Barnhill's class used their creative minds to disguise (and therefore save) turkeys for Thanksgiving. They wrote stories about the disguises and presented them to their class. Lots of imagination shown for this project!

Happy Thanksgiving from Shelby Public School District
